Pasadena employment lawyer Ramit Mizrahi

Yale-educated attorney Ramit Mizrahi is the founder of Mizrahi Law, APC. She is committed to working exclusively on behalf of employees to protect them from discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination. The majority of Ms. Mizrahi’s cases involve employees who have been unlawfully terminated (because of age, disability, race, sex, or some other protected category, or because they are whistleblowers), although she often helps current employees who are being subjected to sexual harassment negotiate an exit from their hostile work environment. She has expertise navigating leave laws, including those related to pregnancy, disability, and parental leave, along with pregnancy and disability accommodations. She is a litigator who is not afraid to take on employers who break the law and at the same time values cooperation when possible. She is admitted to practice law in California and New York.

Ms. Mizrahi graduated from Yale Law School, has a master’s degree with Merits in Gender & Social Policy from the London School of Economics, and a bachelor’s degree with Highest Honors from UC-Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. Her work has been published in the Yale Law Journal, the State Bar of California’s Labor & Employment Law Review, the Labor & Employment Law Forum, and Advocate magazine. Ms. Mizrahi has committed her career to workers’ rights. While in law school, she worked at the Civil Rights Division of the United States Department of Justice within the Disability Rights Section. She served as an editor of the Yale Law Journal and the Yale Journal of Law & Feminism. Ms. Mizrahi clerked for Judge Richard Paez of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, where she worked on appeals involving sex, race, national origin, age, and disability discrimination. Prior to forming Mizrahi Law, Ms. Mizrahi worked at a plaintiff-side employment law firm, where she led numerous cases from intake to completion, obtaining results in the six and seven figures.

Ms. Mizrahi is an active member of the employment law community. She serves as Vice Chair of the State Bar of California’s Labor and Employment Law Section and as Executive Editor of the California Labor and Employment Law Review. She also serves on the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section, and is active in the California Employment Lawyers Association. Ms. Mizrahi has spoken on a number of panels relating to employment issues, including with respect to wrongful termination, disability laws, sexual harassment, pregnancy discrimination, and leave as a reasonable accommodation under the FEHA and ADA
